Dreamy beaches, tiny fishing villages and enormous night skies.
The West Coast
Leaving behind the bustling city life of Cape Town, the Atlantic coastal Route 27 will lead you to discovering tiny, peaceful fishing villages lining the dreamiest beaches, with rugged coastlines, endless stretches of beach and warm, friendly folk. The West Coast’s Mediterranean climate promises long, sun-drenched summer days, green winters and in spring time, carpets of indigenous wild flowers.
The Westcoast is famous for delectable seafood and a number of open-air beach restaurants offering unsurpassed seafood fresh from the ocean, cooked on open fires whilst you watch the sun sink slowly over the sea while the multi-coloured fishing boats make their return to shore. The Cape West Coast is a surfers paradise and the rich diversity of marine species and wildlife found on this vibrant coastline make this a wonderful spot for dolphin and whale watching.
